\u201cCOVID patients are clearly at higher risk of thrombotic events,\u201d said Cavender, in the article<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

“Blood thinners certainly play a role in clot prevention…there\u2019s no question that DVT prophylaxis is needed – maybe even at slightly higher doses – and is beneficial in critical illness.\u201d<\/p>\n
