Although there are so many emails and COVID updates, it\u2019s really helpful to have time together as a department to hear from Dr. Falk and other members of the leadership team. There is much to celebrate, even as each of you finds a way to balance home and work, COVID and NOVID.\u00a0 Our first year residents and fellows are no longer \u201cnew,\u201d and our students are back with us. The UNC Hillsborough Hospital hit 100% occupancy (that is not a typo). Our clinics and procedure areas are busy. We have a COVID vaccine trial ramping up. People are working feverishly in our labs.
