Medicine and the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, and <a href=\"https:\/\/unclineberger.org\/directory\/stephanie-wheeler\/\">Stephanie Wheeler, PhD, MPH<\/a>, professor of health policy and management at the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health and associate director of Community Outreach and Engagement at UNC Lineberger, are heading a two-year study on racial disparities in breast cancer care quality in North Carolina under a nearly $400,000-grant from the American Cancer Society (ACS) and Pfizer.<\/p>\n<p>The grant is part of a national campaign focused on optimizing cancer outcomes for people of color by identifying and eliminating systemic race-related barriers and disparities in the delivery of care that impact outcomes across all cancer types.<\/p>\n<p>Learn
