This grant is for seven-year study with a total budget of $6 million.<\/p>\n<p>The grant will fund \u201cTissue factor-dependent coagulation in thrombosis and immune responses,\u201d studying the mechanisms of thrombosis in cancer and viral infections, including influenza A infection and SARS-CoV-2 infection. In addition, the crosstalk between coagulation and immune responses to infection during different diseases will be analyzed.<\/p>\n<p>NHLBI-funded R35 grants provide investigators increased freedom to conduct research that breaks new ground or extends previous discoveries in new directions.
