According to the CDC, side effects are a sign that the body is building immunity, but people should call their doctor if the symptoms don\u2019t go away after a few days. And, as more people receive the vaccine, researchers are noticing a trend.<\/p>\n<p>Duke Regional Hospital&#8217;s Ada Ross, MD, explained that young people tend to have more side effects than older people and people over 55 appear to have less of these side effects.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/medicine\/directory\/david-wohl-md\/\">David Wohl<\/a>, MD, professor of medicine in the division of infectious diseases, said he&#8217;s looking for &#8220;something highly out of the ordinary&#8221; and &#8220;something that&#8217;s just not right.&#8221; This could be when someone can&#8217;t get out of bed and it&#8217;s been more than a day. &#8220;Those are the types of things I&#8217;d be worried about,&#8221; Wohl said.<\/p>\n<p>Watch or read the story <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbs17.com\/community\/health\/coronavirus\/duke-unc-researchers-continue-to-examine-side-effects-of-covid-19-vaccine\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If you\u2019ve received a COVID-19 vaccine you\u2019re more than likely among the millions of Americans who have experienced some sort of side effects, reports CBS-17.
