Barnes, MD, MPH<\/a>, assistant professor in the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, is lead author of a new manuscript <a href=\"https:\/\/journals.lww.com\/jcge\/Abstract\/9000\/Older_Adult_Patients_Use_More_Aminosalicylate.97401.aspx\">published online ahead of print<\/a> in the <em>Journal of Clinical Gastroenterology<\/em>. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/medicine\/directory\/millie-d-long-md-mph\/\">Millie D. Long, MD, MPH<\/a>, associate professor, is the manuscript\u2019s senior author.<\/p>\n<p>The manuscript, \u201cOlder Adult Patients Use More Aminosalicylate Monotherapy Compared to Younger Patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease: TARGET-IBD,\u201d analyzed more than 2,900 patients across 34 academic or community sites in the U.S. between July 1, 2017 and February 18, 2020.
