They are being used under Emergency Use Authorization by the FDA.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe designed antibodies that we can infuse into someone\u2019s blood, and instantaneously there are now antibodies,\u201d said <a href=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/medicine\/directory\/david-wohl-md\/\">David Wohl<\/a>, MD, professor of medicine in the division of infectious diseases, explaining to CBS17 what the treatments entail.<\/p>\n<p>The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services reported for the week of June 23, just 100 courses of monoclonal antibodies were administered.
