Itinerary for the UNC Rockingham Health Care site visit.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Lydia Chang<\/a>, MD, associate professor in pulmonary and critical care medicine, and Heath Patel, MD, a third-year fellow, traveled to UNC Rockingham on Saturday, Nov 11, with a team of critical care providers, nurses, pharmacists, and respiratory therapists. The team met with the UNCR Emergency Department and ICU\/Medical team\u00a0to provide\u00a0education on tools to use when caring for critically ill COVID and other critically ill patients. Steven Eblin, UNC Rockingham Health Care President and CEO, called the team “Medical Center Rock Stars.”<\/p>\n

“On behalf of UNC Rockingham and the communities we serve, let me offer our sincere thanks for giving us your time and expertise. What you did and the way you did it is truly amazing and inspiring,” Eblin expressed in an email to UNC Medical Center and the team.<\/p>\n

“Not only was the Med Center team informative, they were collaborative, collegial, and possibly the best example of ONE GREAT TEAM I have seen. Just the fact that they chose to give up their Saturday to help team members at a smaller entity speaks volumes.<\/p>\n
