\nCristin Colford, MD, FACP, professor of medicine, has been appointed Executive Vice Chair of the Department of Medicine. In this role Dr. Colford will represent and support the Department while collaborating with the School of Medicine and UNC Hospital partners. She will continue to oversee the Department\u2019s inpatient operations and support key areas including the Palliative Care & Hospice Program, Safety, and assist with various projects across the department. This new role and Dr. Colford’s years of dedication to UNC will allow her to continue uniting the Department with its core values.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\"Deepa<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\nDeepa Kirk, MD, professor of medicine, has been named Associate Vice Chair for Outpatient Services. This position will give Dr. Kirk the opportunity to support the medical directors of Eastowne and the DOM Oncology Clinics, working to optimize the patient and provider experience. She will serve as the liaison between DOM leadership, clinic medical directors and operational leaders. This role will allow Dr. Kirk to spread her extraordinary expertise gained in over a decade as medical director in Endocrinology across the Department\u2019s outpatient services.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
