Yohei Hisada, PhD, an Assistant Professor of Medicine, has been awarded\u00a0 $50,000 dollars for his research through the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis Fundamental Research Career Development Award in the category of Fundamental Mechanisms of Hemostasis. This prestigious award is designed to support early career investigators who have shown exceptional promise in their research fields.<\/p>\n

Dr. Hisada’s project, titled \u201cThe roles of the S100A10\/annexin A2\/tissue plasminogen activator and the urokinase plasminogen activator\/urokinase plasminogen activator receptor pathways in the activation of fibrinolysis and bleeding in a mouse model of acute promyelocytic leukemia,\u201d explores critical mechanisms of hemostasis and their implications in bleeding disorders.<\/p>\n
