Meredith Holt, DO, is from Fuquay Varina, NC. She attended undergraduate at North Carolina State University, then medical school at Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine.<\/em><\/p>\n

\"\"Dr. Holt\u2019s journey into medical education began during medical school, where she first discovered her love for teaching.<\/p>\n

\u201cI first became interested in medical education during medical school when I had the opportunity to volunteer as an anatomy and physiology tutor for my peers. Watching students engage with complex topics and develop their understanding inspired me to explore the intersection of education and healthcare.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This passion grew stronger when she was elected chief resident, a role that allowed her to teach both co-residents and medical students.<\/p>\n

\u201cI realized that effective teaching is essential in shaping future healthcare professionals, and the ability to contribute to their development, both academically and practically, was something I found deeply rewarding. This sparked my passion for pursuing a career in medical education, where I could combine my love for learning with a commitment to improving patient care through teaching.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Her dedication paid off when she was offered a faculty position at the residency program where she trained.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe opportunity to transition from a leadership role among my peers to a faculty position was a dream come true, and it was an incredible privilege to continue contributing to the growth and development of future residents. I\u2019m grateful for the trust placed in me and for the chance to work alongside such talented mentors and colleagues.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Dr. Holt said this role has allowed her to stay connected to the program that shaped her career, while making a meaningful impact on the next generation of healthcare professionals.<\/p>\n

When she\u2019s not immersed in teaching or patient care, Dr. Holt enjoys spending her free time pursuing personal passions like hot Pilates and learning Spanish!<\/p>\n
