Andy joined our cardiology family in 2019, stepping into a complex and demanding role at the electrophysiology (EP) clinic.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>\u201cWhen<span class=\"apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"outlook-search-highlight\">Andy<\/span><span class=\"apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>joined our team, he jumped into his role in clinic headfirst, knowing he had big shoes to fill and complex patients to take on,\u201d Dr. Anil Gehi said. \u201cBut with his quiet confidence, he embraced the challenge and took it upon himself to learn the intricacies of electrophysiology.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Andy immersed himself in the field with tireless dedication, curiosity, and an unwavering commitment to patients and colleagues alike. He became an expert in cardiac device therapy and rhythm management, caring for the majority of the EP clinic\u2019s patients with implanted cardiac devices.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>\u201cPatients uniformly loved Andy\u2019s kind demeanor and relatable attitude, treating people the way you would want your own family to be treated,\u201d Dr. Adam Moskowitz said. \u201cHe was always available, frequently going out of his way to see extra patients and work people in between visits during their time of need.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Andy frequently made the effort to remember special details about his patients\u2019 lives. He would jot down notes about their hobbies or pets so he could reconnect meaningfully at each visit, a true testament to his character.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>He was not only a remarkable provider, but an irreplaceable colleague.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>\u201c<span class=\"outlook-search-highlight\">Andy<\/span><span class=\"apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>was calm and upbeat,\u201d Emily Baker, MSN, AGNP-C, said. \u201cHe always saw the good in people and situations and never panicked in the face of an emergency. Andy was also always willing to discuss tough cases or ponder treatment options with colleagues.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Andy\u2019s contagious positivity, quick humor, and steady presence made our clinic a better place.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>\u201cAlthough we do a serious job,\u201d Dr. Moskowitz reflected, \u201cAndy always found a way to be lighthearted and to make colleagues laugh.\u00a0He always kept a \u2018can-do\u2019 attitude, and our clinic is better because of the culture he helped build.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>In his final chapter, Andy continued to show us what true compassion and courage look like.
