Caviness Distinguished Professor of Medicine in the Division of Endocrinology (Category: Clinical Medicine)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/medicine\/oncology\/people\/lisa-a-carey-md\/\">Lisa Carey, MD<\/a>, L. Richardson and Marilyn Jacobs Preyer Distinguished Professor for Breast Cancer Research in the Division of Oncology (Clinical Medicine)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/medicine\/infdis\/people\/david-van-duin-md-phd\/\">David van Duin, MD, PhD,<\/a> Professor of Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases (Immunology)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/medicine\/hematology\/people\/nigel-mackman-phd\/\">Nigel Mackman, PhD,<\/a> John Parker Distinguished Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hematology (Cross-field)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/medicine\/cardiology\/people\/sidney-smith\/\">Sidney Smith Jr., MD,<\/a> Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology (Clinical Medicine)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Each researcher has authored multiple papers which rank in the top 1% by citations for their field and publication year in Clarivate&#8217;s Web of Science Core Collection over the past 11 years. The list iis then refined using other quantitative metrics, as well as qualitative analysis and expert judgment.
