Associate Professor, Department of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases, UNC School of Medicine<\/p>\n

\n

Dr. Cindy Gay<\/strong> is a practicing infectious diseases clinician and the Medical Director for the HIV Cure Center at UNC. Her research background includes clinical trials and translational including Phase I\/II clinical trials involving novel HIV vaccines and immunotherapeutic strategies to advance HIV cure strategies. Dr. Gay has also worked on HIV-related studies conducted in national networks including the AIDS Clinical Trials Group (ACTG), the HIV Prevention Trials Network, and the HIV Vaccine Trials Network. Dr. Gay is the site Principle investigator for the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine trial as well as a co-chair and site Principle investigator for a Phase 3 trial of the Novavax covid-19 vaccine.<\/p>\n
