\"\"Dr. Berkowitz is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of General Medicine and Clinical Epidemiology at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. He performs research on population management, food insecurity, cost-related medication underuse and the impact of adverse social circumstances on chronic disease management, particularly with regard to diabetes and other cardiometabolic disease.
