She received her MD from Case Western Reserve University. She completed her internal medicine residency at the University of Virginia and her hematology\/oncology fellowship at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her primary clinical and research interest is in novel therapies for the treatment of lymphoma, particularly chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy. She leads several CAR-T cell clinical trials in lymphoma and collaborates with translational researchers to bring these novel therapies to the clinic. She is interested in innovative approaches to improve the efficacy and safety of CAR-T cell therapy as well as investigations of why some patients progress after treatment.
