As a medical student impacted by the COVID 19 pandemic, Leta decided to devote her time to co-founding a Human Rights Initiative with Rochester\u2019s School of Medicine.\u00a0 From there, she helped to build the school\u2019s first clinic for asylum seekers, focusing on caring for ICE detainees from a nearby detention center. In recognition of her outstanding compassion and commitment to the care of others, Leta was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society.
