She has focused her work as a medical and MPH student on advocacy and public policy aimed at caring for people who use drugs. Her work includes\u00a0assessment of medication prescribing trends, assessment\u00a0of new opioid\u00a0legislation,\u00a0and analysis of hospital-based care for people who use drugs.\u00a0 She was the co-founder of the \u201cHarm Reduction Student Group\u201d which built a campaign for a statewide syringe exchange expansion legislation.\u00a0 She also helped establish a naloxone \u201cLeave Behind Program\u201d in which paramedics provide naloxone and addiction treatment information. \u00a0She continues\u00a0to serve as a vocalist for multiple churches and other events.
