{"id":65209,"date":"2023-07-12T10:22:00","date_gmt":"2023-07-12T14:22:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/medicine\/?post_type=ud_entry&#038;p=65209"},"modified":"2023-10-18T11:16:13","modified_gmt":"2023-10-18T15:16:13","slug":"tamara-damjanac-md","status":"publish","type":"ud_entry","link":"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/medicine\/people\/tamara-damjanac-md\/","title":{"rendered":"Tamara Damjanac, MD"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"directory-post-content\">\n<p>Tamara is from Minnesota originally and attended Carleton College where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry.\u00a0 As a college student, she was drawn to the arts \u2013 film, writing, developing screenplays, recording podcasts\u2014as a way to reach people.\u00a0 After graduation, she considered applying for internships at NPR, but was drawn back to science.\u00a0 She worked at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester as a graduate researcher with a focus on paragangliomas before beginning medical school at the University of Minnesota. She has continued to be passionate about arts and medicine, and with COVID19 created and organized a virtual elective course for medical students called \u201cPandemics and Film\u201d.
