{"id":65234,"date":"2023-07-12T13:59:25","date_gmt":"2023-07-12T17:59:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/medicine\/?post_type=ud_entry&#038;p=65234"},"modified":"2023-10-18T11:23:33","modified_gmt":"2023-10-18T15:23:33","slug":"yash-varma-md","status":"publish","type":"ud_entry","link":"https:\/\/www.med.unc.edu\/medicine\/people\/yash-varma-md\/","title":{"rendered":"Yash Varma, MD"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"directory-post-content\">\n<p>Yash is from New Jersey and attended Drexel where he graduated with Honors in Distinction in Biological sciences with a concentration in Pathobiology and a Minor in Public Health and was Commencement Student Speaker for his class.\u00a0 From there, he came to the Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson for medical school. He was a founding member of the Partners in Health Engage Philadelphia Chapter, working with an international advocacy group to reduce disease-associated stigma through public policy campaigns and events.\u00a0 He also worked with the student-run health clinic to care for the homeless in Philadelphia and served the clinic as a Quality Improvement Committee member.
