Afterword, she obtained a Master of Science in Microbiology and Cell Science from the University of Florida and worked at Wake Forest University as a Lab Tech. As a medical student, Kelly has been actively engaged in research and will graduate with a certificate in Research and Translational Medicine. She has also been dedicated to mentoring college students, working with the student clinic, and serving as a peer educator for more junior students.
