Michael attended Berkeley where he graduated with a degree in Chemical Biology and began research work in the field of CRISPR with a future Nobel laureate! After college, he worked full time as a research assistant at Berkeley and became interested in medicine and research. As a medical student, he has continued his interest in research and was accepted in the Clinical and Translational Research Track. Michael has continued to dedicate his time to research and mentoring, serving as a mentor for junior medical students with the Medical Honor Society, a liaison for the Scholarly Inquiry Clinical and Translational Research Track, and a tutor. In recognition of his outstanding academic performance, Michael was inducted into the AOA Honor society.
