Dr. Maiocchi joined the Bahnson Research Group in 2018, where she started working on targeted redox therapies for atherosclerosis. She then started developing an independent line to use cell-mediated delivery of biologics-containing nanoparticles as anti-thrombotic therapies. This work has led to a provisional patent application. Dr. Maiocchi has been instrumental in the success and development of the Bahnson Research Group. She has been an excellent mentee, colleague, and a great mentor to junior people in the lab. We will miss her, but we cannot be happier and more excited for her next step.
