Jenna Beam, a doctoral candidate in Brian Conlon’s lab, is the UNC-Chapel Hill Three Minute Thesis (3MT) People’s Choice winner (determined by audience votes). Jenna and nine other UNC-Chapel Hill graduate students presented their research in front of a large audience and panel of judges – and with only three minutes for their presentations – on Tuesday, October 29. The Graduate School hosts the annual event.

Jenna’s presentation was titled “The Battle Against the Bugs: Antibiotics versus Staph.”

Please join us in congratulating Jenna on this great accomplishment! If you would like to learn more about this year’s competition and the other finalists, please visit this website: https://gradschoolmagazine.unc.edu/2019/10/alison-mercer-smith-wins-three-minute-thesis/
