Congratulations to Rodrigo Gonzalez on being a recipient of the Robert D. Watkins Graduate Research Fellowship! This fellowship is given by the American Society for Microbiology (ASM) to students they deem “the best and the brightest rising scientists”. The fellowship is a three year award which helps to fund living expenses as well as travel for scientific meetings. Rodrigo is a graduate student in the Virginia Miller lab and is investigating how Yersina pestis disseminates inside a host.
