The talk will explore functions of blood in immunity and oxygen delivery. Additionally, it will cover the practical aspects of blood analysis, including the types of blood collection tubes, the instruments used in hematology labs, and basic patterns analyzing samples. Finally, it will include discussion of a few common hematologic diseases such as myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS), chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), and other malignancies.
