Gracz, Ph.D."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Our lab is interested in understanding how transcription factors and chromatin regulatory networks contribute to stem cell function in epithelial tissues during homeostasis and following acute or chronic injury. We study the intestine and liver using mouse models and patient-derived organoids,\u00a0leveraging\u00a0distinct renewal strategies in each organ to\u00a0identify\u00a0common and tissue-specific regenerative mechanisms.<\/p>\n<p>We seek to advance mechanistic understanding of the gene regulatory networks required for epithelial development, renewal, and regeneration in functionally distinct tissues.
