Dr. Kevin Robertson recently received the American Psychological Association’s Distinguished Leader in AIDS award.

Dr. Robertson was selected due to his global leadership in applying psychological science and practice to improve the mental health of persons living with HIV, and training the next generation of clinical scientists committed to HIV/AIDS throughout the world. He will formally receive the award at the APA National convention in Denver, August 2016.

Robertson is the Director of Neuropsychology for UNC’s Department of Neurology and is also the director of the UNC AIDS Neurological Center. For the past 28 years, he has conducted clinical research on HIV associated neurocognitive disorders and the neurological effects of HIV/AIDS.
