On August 17th, the adult and pediatric epilepsy teams came together for a much-anticipated team-building event, made possible by the wellness grant, which funded an exciting escape room experience. For many of the team members, this was their first escape room adventure, but the enthusiasm was palpable as everyone geared up for the challenge.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

From the moment the game began, the entire team demonstrated impressive problem-solving skills. Suzette and Clio kicked things off by deciphering the first clue, organizing statues by size and unlocking the first lock. Atiff and Lynn tackled the second clue, using a hidden code under a table to adjust buttons in the correct sequence. Albert and Varina then joined forces to solve a puzzle by aligning guiding lines on the pieces, revealing the next tip.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"\u00a0<\/span>Brandon, Suzette, Chon, Albert, and Lynn pooled their knowledge to interpret hidden clues within five paintings, leading to the opening of the second door that took the team to a different room.\u00a0 Once inside the second room, Clio, Lynn, and Suzette quickly identified the next clue, which allowed Varina to unlock a key and pass the baton to Albert, Atiff, and Brandon, who cracked a second and more complicated puzzle to access the third room.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>In the final room, the entire team collaborated, gathering data and recognizing hidden clues in the dark! Thanks to everyone\u2019s combined efforts, they successfully escaped the room! Their teamwork, adaptability, and pattern recognition skills were on full display, with team members seamlessly shifting between leadership and collaborative roles throughout the game. Although they narrowly missed making the top three escape times of the month by just six seconds, it was a remarkable achievement for a team of mostly first-time escapees.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"\"Following the success of their escape, the group headed to a nearby restaurant to continue the fun over food, reflecting on the day\u2019s experience and solidifying memories that will last a lifetime. The event was not only a thrilling challenge but also an opportunity to bond as a team outside of the usual work environment.<\/span><\/p>\n
