As an undergraduate, I worked in Dr. Randy Cohen\u2019s lab studying the neurodegeneration of Purkinje cells from excitotoxicity by GABA receptor activation in an ataxic rat model. In 2014, I participated in the CSUN-UCLA Bridges internship program funded by CIRM where I worked in Dr. Daniel Geschwind\u2019s lab at UCLA. My project consisted of using chemical compounds to advance maturity of neural stem cell-derived cultures. After the internship and graduation, I continued working in the Geschwind lab as a staff research associate. I started BBSP in the fall of 2017 and joined the Neuroscience Curriculum in 2018.
