Our guest speaker this year was Dr. David Lovinger. Dr. Lovinger is a Senior Investigator and Chief of the Laboratory of Integrative Neuroscience at the NIAAA. His research focuses on the modulation and plasticity of synaptic transmission at corticostriatal synapses and the mechanisms by which abused substances effect synaptic transmission. A schedule for the events that took place is listed as follows: 12:30pm -1:30pm: 2nd floor MBRB; Catered lunch from Vimala\u2019s Curryblossom 1:30pm-2:30pm: Student Talks, Alice Stamatakis and
