Dr. Fagiolini is an Assistant Professor of Neurology at Harvard University. Neurons acquire multiple functional properties through an experience-dependent development during a limited time in early postnatal life (“critical periods”). Her research focuses on understanding the mechanisms underlying this fundamental process by combining molecular techniques with electrophysiological and behavioral analysis of systems level phenomena in vivo. Dr. Fagiolini will be jointly hosted by the Carolina Institute for Developmental Disabilities and the Neuroscience Center.
The title of her seminar will be:
"Neuronal Circuit Dissection and Recovery in the Absence of Mecp2"
