Judy Huang, MD, FAANS presented a talk on “Tailored Management of Arteriovenous Malformations” to over 50 attendees on October 6th, 2016, in the Bioinfomatics Building. Dr. Huang is Vice Chair, Department of Neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins University and the Director of the Department of Neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. This special Grand Rounds presentation was made possible by the Noah K. Duncan Annual Lectureship fund.

The Department of Neurosurgery at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill welcomed Dr. Judy Huang of Johns Hopkins University to the fifth annual Noah K. Duncan Lecture. Dr. Huang received her medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and completed a fellowship in neurosurgery at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York. She was an inductee for the Miller-Coulson Academy for Clinical Excellence at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine where she leads the neurosurgery residency program.

Dr. Huang specializes in the treatment of cerebrovascular disorders such as cerebral aneurysms, carotid artery stenosis, and arteriovenous malformations. She is an active committee member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) as well as the Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS) and has been in clinical practice for more than 20 years.

Dr. Huang’s visit was made possible by the Noah K. Duncan Annual Lectureship fund. Established in memory of Mr. Noah K. Duncan, this fund promotes the development of new treatments for patients with intracerebral hemorrhage resulting from aneurysms and other causes.
