Peter A. Rasmussen, MD presented a talk on “Mobile Stroke Treatment Units: New System of Stroke Care” to over 40 attendees on January 27th, 2016, in the Bioinfomatics Building. Dr. Rasmussen is the Director of the Cerebrovascular Center at Cleveland Clinic, and Associate Professor at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University. This special Grand Rounds presentation was made possible by the Noah K. Duncan Annual Lectureship fund.

Dr. Rasmussen received his B.S. in biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1987. He earned his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin Medical School in 1991. Dr. Rasmussen was recently appointed as President of the Board of Directors for the Society of NeuroInterventional Surgery. As President, Dr. Rasmussen will play a leading role on the national stage in continuing society initiatives to resource, train and support veteran and new practitioners in an area of medicine that is transforming treatment approaches to neurovascular conditions.
