The Department of Neurosurgery is pleased to announce that Eldad Hadar, MD, was recently inducted into the Society of Neurological Surgeons. The Society, comprised of neurosurgical department chairs, residency program directors and other senior educational leaders, is the oldest neurosurgical professional organization in the world and membership is limited to 200 active members. The Society holds as its principal mission the design of curriculum and implementation of neurosurgical residency and fellowship education in North America.
As a faculty member in the UNC School of Medicine, Dr. Hadar is actively involved in the education and training of medical students and residents, and serves as the neurosurgery residency program director. He is highly regarded at UNC Healthcare for his extensive education and training accomplishments both at UNC and nationally, and has received numerous teaching awards and honors.

The SNS is the core society for Neurosurgery Education in the US.
