Dr. Edward Yap joined the UNC Neurosurgery faculty in late December of 2019 as an Assistant Professor. Dr. Yap is very familiar with the Department of Neurosurgery and the neurosurgery faculty since he completed his seven-year neurosurgery residency program here at UNC. Now he is returning as a board-certified neurosurgeon and member of the UNC Neurosurgery faculty.

After Dr. Yap’s completion of his neurosurgery residency in 2018, he completed a fellowship in neuroendovascular surgery at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. We are looking forward to his contribution to the neurosurgery department, specifically in the area of brain aneurysms and cerebrovascular disease.

If you would like to make an appointment with Dr. Yap or any of our neurosurgeons, please call 919-445-2410 to schedule at any of our neurosurgery clinic locations.
