Xian is a highly skilled 3D Medical Animator dedicated to using her skills in 3D software to create clear and informative illustrations and animations that help convey complex neurosurgical concepts.<\/span><\/p>\n

Xian\u2019s educational background includes an MFA thesis project with the Department of Neurosurgery, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Boston. While there she worked with Neurosurgeon Linda Wenya Bi to create an online interactive training module for intraoperative neuromonitoring to help make techniques more broadly accessible to all practitioners.\u00a0\u00a0In 2022 Xian completed an accredited graduate program in medical illustration at Rochester Institute of Technology. As of 2024 Xian is a board Certified Medical Illustrator (CMI) and is an active member of the Association of Medical Illustrators (AMI)<\/p>\n

As a member of UNC Neurosurgery\u2019s media team, Xian is establishing herself as a respected professional in the field of medical illustration and animation. With a commitment to creating high-quality work that brings novel research and medicine to life, her passion for her craft, technical skills, and attention to detail, Xian is making valuable contributions to the field and further enhancing the UNC Neurosurgery Media Team\u2019s capabilities.<\/span><\/p>\n
