The educational and social event is designed to get women talking about pelvic floor dysfunction (PFD) – and what can be done about it.

To celebrate Bladder Health Week (Nov. 6-12), UNC Urogynecology will host ‘Break Free from PFDs’ at The Arts Center in Carrboro Nov. 9 from 6-8 p.m.

This evening of refreshments and conversation is designed to get women talking about topics they might have been uncomfortable about bringing up, such as bladder leakage or incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse and other pelvic floor dysfunction. UNC Urogynecology Division Chief Dr. Samantha Pulliam and other specialists will give short, patient-friendly talks with expert advice about PFD signs, symptoms and treatment options, such as quick and easy exercises and tips to strengthen the pelvic floor.

Participants will also have the opportunity to hear from real women who have overcome a PFD and discover how they regained their quality of life.

This event is free and open to the public. Please RSVP at:
