Where did you grow up?
Seattle, WA
Where did you go to medical school?
University of Michigan Medical School
What inspired you to be an OBGYN?
My experiences shadowing both midwives and OB at a birth center taught me that I love working with laboring women. I knew I couldn’t imagine a future version of myself who wasn’t involved in the process of childbirth.
Why did you choose UNC ?
When I came for my interview, I was touched by the genuine warm of the people and strength of the community I found here. It really is a second family, and I knew I would need that to give and get the most out of my residency experience.
What you are most excited about during residency?
Learning to take care of women across the lifecourse, particulary those who are underserved.
