Meet Dr. Lemoine

Where did you grow up?
I mostly grew up in a suburb of Atlanta, GA called Marietta, but I was born in Paris, France and have lived all over the US including NYC and LA!

Where did you go to medical school?
Harvard Medical School

What inspired you to be an OBGYN?
I have wanted to be an obstetrician since I was in the first grade but definitely took the long road to get here! I feel passionately about serving women with high risk pregnancies and hope to change the way we think about and treat hypertensive disorders of pregnancy.

Why did you choose UNC ?
I wanted a residency program that would provide excellent training as well as a supportive, “family” environment, and UNC is exactly that. My co-residents are amazing, inspiring, kind, and funny people who I feel so privileged to learn from, and our attendings are incredibly kind and supportive. Not to mention the second to none surgical training and the incredible obstetric exposure. I am so thrilled to belong to the UNC family.

What you are most excited about during residency?
I am most excited about getting to be an OB-Gyn every day, getting exposure to all of the physiology that fascinated me in medical school and caring for women during this crazy, brave new world that is the Covid medical field. I am also really excited to get to know my co-residents, who blow me away with their kindness and skill every day.
