Assistant Professor, Maternal-Fetal Medicine
Emily Hardisty received her Bachelor of Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her Master of Science in Genetic Counseling from the University of South Carolina. Hardisty is board certified as a genetic counselor by the American Board of Genetic Counseling and joined the UNC OB-GYN faculty in 2001 as a reproductive genetic counselor. She has been the supervisor of the Reproductive Genetics group at UNC since 2011.
In her role as a clinical instructor with the University of North Carolina School of Medicine, Hardisty has been involved in both didactic and clinical education of medical students, residents, fellows, nurse practitioners and genetic counseling students. She became an assistant professor in 2017.
