Emma Rossi received her bachelor’s degrees of medicine and physiotherapy from the University of Queensland, completed her OB-GYN residency at Northwestern University in Chicago and completed her fellowship in gynecologic oncology here at UNC OB-GYN. Her primary research interests focus on novel surgical techniques in the treatment of endometrial and cervical cancers, particularly in computer-assisted surgery and image-guided surgery. She has conducted the first in human trial of a novel technique for the mapping of sentinel lymph nodes in an attempt to discover a more sensitive technique for identifying lymph node metastases in patients while minimizing the toxicity of surgery.
