Clinical Assistant Professor, General Obstetrics and Gynecology
Dr. Jacqueline Riely joined UNC OBGYN’s faculty in July, 2022. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame in Pre-Professional Sciences, and her master’s degree in genetics from The George Washington University. Dr. Riely attended medical school at Tulane University. In her final year at Tulane, she received the Thomas A. Giddings Humanitarian Award for compassionate patient care. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Oregon Health Sciences University.
Dr. Riely has been a board-certified Diplomat of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology since 2006 and maintains current recertification. She is also a Fellow with the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She comes to us from Southern Indiana where she was in private practice since 2001.
As part of her graduate studies, Jacqueline spent 16 months in Eastern Africa working on a malaria research project. More recently, she ran Mobile Rural Health Clinics in Leogane, Haiti, with other doctors from the University of Notre Dame.
