Jacquetta Melvin, MPH, PA-C, joined the faculty of the Division of Obstetrics and Gynecology in June 2018. She serves as a Clinical Instructor and as a member of the Benign Gynecology team where she provides inpatient gynecological services.

She is a 2008 graduate of the Howard University Physician Assistant Program, and she completed her Masters of Public Health with a concentration in Maternal and Child Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2011.

Melvin currently serves as President of the Association of Physician Assistants in Obstetrics and Gynecology (APAOG). She is also an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), the North Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants (NCAPA), and the African Heritage Physician Assistant Caucus.
