Clinical Associate Professor, General Obstetrics and Gynecology
I understand that every woman is more than a patient. She is a mother, sister, friend, partner, and daughter. As such, I am not only committed to caring for you as a patient, but I am committed to caring you as a person. I have been providing OB/GYN generalist care for over 20 years and see women from adolescence through menopause in my office every day.
Most of my career has been in private practice in Georgia while also serving as a Clinical Faculty member with the Medical College of Georgia. During my time in private practice, I was actively involved in Medical Staff Leadership, Medical Practice Management, Population Health Management and improving the quality and safety of patient care in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. In 2017 I moved to Indianapolis to care for the underserved population in the inner city, at which time I became part of the Indiana University Faculty and in 2019 joined the faculty fulltime as an Associate Clinical Professor. While with the IUSM I was honored and challenged to serve as the Division Director for the Generalist OB/GYN faculty. In 2021 I was given the opportunity to step back into private practice with the Indiana University Health Physicians Group where I also functioned as the physician leader for the service line. Throughout my professional journey, patient care has remained my primary mission. I remain dedicated to learning something new every day, being humble in my approach to medicine, and ensuring that kindness and respect are given to every patient. Patients will also find that teaching is a passion of mine, and you will rarely find me without a student or resident nearby.
Outside of work, I enjoy staying busy with my wife and two young adult children. Hiking, exploring, SCUBA diving and meeting new people are some of my favorite pastimes.
