Raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Dr. Jennifer Mersereau attended college at Northwestern University, and received her MD from the University of Pittsburgh. She completed a residency in OB-GYN and earned a master’s in Clinical Investigation (MSCI) at Northwestern. She completed fellowship training in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the University of California at San Francisco and joined the UNC Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology’s reproductive endocrinology and infertility division in 2007.
Dr. Mersereau is Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Director of the Fertility Preservation Program at UNC. She is board-certified in both obstetrics and gynecology as well as in reproductive endocrinology and infertility. She has published many peer-reviewed research articles in the field, and has received numerous awards for her research.
