SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY
What inspired you to be an OBGYN?
The unique opportunity to provide comprehensive, longitudinal care in an operative specialty drew me to pursue OBGYN. My long standing passion for reproductive rights propelled me to commit to this field where I could focus on educating and empowering women.
Why did you choose UNC ?
I had the pleasure to rotate as a medical student on the gyn oncology service here at UNC and experience the supportive and diverse hospital culture firsthand. I knew that the strong subspecialty divisions would help me grow into a well-rounded OB/Gyn and open endless post-graduation opportunities.
What you are most excited about during residency?
Working alongside of such passionate, accomplished, and caring coresidents gets me excited to show up to the hospital each day. My best days are spent in the OR honing my operative skills, especially when I get to double scrub with my coresidents!
