The prenatal clinic at Shelton Station is dedicated to Dr. Clement and his partners in OB-GYN practice.
Dr. James Edwin Clement (“Ed”) of Greenville died Thursday, October 26 after a brief illness.
Dr. Clement was an alumnus of UNC-Chapel Hill and the first OB-GYN east of I-95. He was a mentor of Dr. John Thorp, McAllister Distinguished Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and chief of the Division of General Obstetrics and Gynecology. The prenatal clinic at Shelton Station, the new UNC Horizons building, was dedicated to him, along with his partners Dr. Robert G. ‘Bob’ Deyton and Dr. Edgar S. ‘Dick’ Douglas, in January 2017.
