Dr. Thomas Ivester, associate professor of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at UNC OBGYN, was recently named Associate Chief Medical officer for UNC Hospitals.

In this role, Dr. Ivester’s primary responsibilities will be improving the quality and safety of healthcare across all clinical services at UNC, with special emphasis on reducing and minimizing patient harms.
