Our fellowship began in 1998 under the guidance of Dr. John Steege, a pioneer of minimally invasive surgery and pelvic pain. UNC is the oldest minimally invasive gynecologic surgery fellowship program in the US and has bred international, national, and community leaders and educators. Our program provides the framework for each fellow to develop their own path of excellence whether clinical, research, or education.
